This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to shape a growing department, take ownership of a varied caseload and play a central role in the strategic direction of the firm.

You will work alongside a collaborative, supportive team on complex and rewarding matters, with the autonomy and resources to build your practice and develop the careers of those around you.

  • Advising senior executives and board-level individuals on exits, settlement agreements, incentive arrangements and reputational risk.
  • Handling restrictive covenant and confidential information disputes, including injunctive relief in the High Court.
  • Advising on TUPE, business reorganisations, collective consultation and redundancy programmes.
  • Conducting and advising on workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
  • Managing client relationships from first instruction through to resolution, whether by negotiation, ACAS conciliation, judicial mediation or proceedings.
  • Contributing to business development, networking and the continued growth of the employment department.
  • Supervising, supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of client care and regulatory compliance.

Key skills & experience required

  • A qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience specialising in employment law.
  • Demonstrable experience of complex Tribunal litigation and of advisory work at senior executive or board level.
  • An established network and a track record of business development, with the ambition to grow a practice.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment work.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting and client-care skills, with a calm, commercial and solution-focused approach.
  • Tribunal advocacy experience is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop a team.

We offer a competitive package designed to reward expertise and support long-term progression:

  • A competitive salary and partnership package, dependent on experience.
  • A clear and supported pathway to equity partnership.
  • 26 days' annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Pension scheme, private healthcare, paid sick leave and death-in-service benefit.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
