Amandeep Puni is an employment solicitor with experience advising both individuals and businesses on a broad range of workplace issues.

He offers expert guidance to both individuals and businesses on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Amandeep’s work includes drafting and reviewing employment contracts, advising on policy development, managing grievance and disciplinary processes and negotiating settlement agreements.

He is particularly experienced in complex employee matters, including discrimination, equal pay and unfair dismissal. Amandeep regularly advises on Employment Tribunal claims, guiding clients from the early stages of a dispute through to resolution or appeal. He is known for his attention to detail and ability to identify legal and reputational risks early, helping clients take a proactive and commercially sound approach.

Amandeep has acted for senior executives, SMEs and multinational organisations across a broad range of sectors. Whether advising on day-to-day HR queries or supporting clients through litigation, his advice is always clear, practical and focused on achieving the best possible outcome.

Amandeep qualified as a solicitor in August 2020. He holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Southampton and an LLM Law Masters from University College London. He completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University.

Notable work

  • Secured a £130,000 tax-free settlement under a settlement agreement by successfully classifying the payment as compensation for injury to mental health, resulting in HMRC approval and exemption from tax.
  • Advised neurodivergent clients through complex workplace disputes, regularly achieving favourable settlements without the need for Tribunal proceedings.
  • Routinely negotiate settlement agreements for individuals who are unaware of the potential claims available to them, helping them maximise outcomes in challenging situations.
  • Supported numerous clients through Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings and providing strategic guidance.
  • Delivered training seminars on handling sexual harassment in the workplace, helping employers and HR teams manage allegations sensitively and in line with legal obligations.
